Life happens. Our flexible cancellation policy is designed to support both Hosts and Guests. Review our cancellation timeframes, refund eligibility, and step-by-step instructions on how to cancel a reservation or request a partial refund.

Host Initiated Cancellations
If a Host needs to cancel a confirmed reservation, TimelySpaces aims to minimize disruption and protect Guests.

Full Refund Guarantee: If the Host cancels within 24 hours of the booking and the reservation start time is more than 48 hours away, the Guest will receive a 100% refund of all paid amounts.

Support Assistance: Hosts should notify both the Guest and TimelySpaces as soon as possible when a cancellation is necessary so we can assist with next steps and, if requested, help identify alternative spaces.

Hosts may be subject to additional platform fees or penalties if cancellations violate TimelySpaces’ hosting standards or terms of service.
Rule 2 (If Rule 1 is not true) (penalty applies)
Scenario: If the Host cancels anytime from the booking date/time AND the reservation is at less than 48 hours away
Scenario: If the Host cancels 24 hours after the booking date/time AND the reservation is at more than 48 hours away
Scenario: If the Host initiates cancellation after 24 hours of booking (regardless of reservation date/time)
Guest receives a full refund (including all fees).
Host will be charged a cancellation penalty fee of 2.9% + $0.30 based on the total reservation cost.
Rule 1 (No Penalty)
Scenario: If the Host initiates cancellation within 24 hours from the booking date/time AND the reservation is more than 48 hours away
Guest receives a full refund (including all fees).
Host will not be charged a cancellation penalty fee.

Guest Initiated Cancellations
TimelySpaces supports flexible cancellation options for Guests while balancing fairness for Hosts.

Cancellation Window & Refund Amount: Guests who cancel their reservation within the timeframe outlined in their original booking confirmation may be eligible for a full or partial refund in accordance with the cancellation option selected at booking.

How to Cancel: Guests must submit cancellation requests through the TimelySpaces platform to be eligible for automated processing and refund consideration.

Refund Processing: Once a cancellation is confirmed, refunds (if applicable under the chosen option) will be issued according to the schedule and method indicated in the reservation details.
Rule 3 (Full Refund)
Scenario: If the Guest cancels within 24 hours of booking and the reservation start time is more than 7 days or 168 hours away from the cancellation date/time
Guest receives a full refund (including all fees).
Rule 4 (No Refund)
Scenario: If the Guest cancels at any time and the reservation starts within 48 hours
No refund will be issued.
Rule 5 (50% Refund on Subtotal)
Scenario: If the Guest cancels at any time and the reservation start time is more than 48 hours (2 days) and less than 168 hours (7 days) away from the cancellation date/time
Guest receives a 50% refund on the reservation subtotal (booking fee is non-refundable).
Rule 6 (100% Refund on Subtotal)
Scenario: If the Guest cancels after 24 hours from booking and the reservation is more than 7 days or 168 hours away
Guest receives a 100% refund on the reservation subtotal (booking fee is non-refundable).
No payout issued to Host.
Terminology
- Guest's Subtotal – payment for room/space rate (does not include fees)
- Guest's Booking Fee – percentage of the subtotal paid by Guest
- Guest's Total – payment for the space AND booking fee; final balance
- Host's Earning – costs of space (does not include fees)
- Commission – commission from the Host's Earning
- Host's Payout – net earning after commission
